On April 7, 2020, the Statewide Health Coordinating Council and the CON Review Board approved Emergency Rules related to the State of Emergency declared by Governor Ivey.  These emergency rules allow for the Agency to grant temporary waivers to the normal CON process for providers specifically requiring additional capacity or services directly related to the State of Emergency declared for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Agency has created a form to be filled out and submitted in order to apply for an Emergency Waiver from the CON process as described in the Emergency Rules.  Pursuant to Ala. Admin r. 410-1-3-.09, all documents to be filed with the State Agency shall be submitted electronically to shpda.online@shpda.alabama.gov.  Please be advised that, due to staffing issues related to the State of Emergency, SHPDA shall only accept payments for the applications for emergency waivers through the online payment processor, a link to which can be found below.

SHPDA now has the ability to accept electronic payments.  Please click on the link below to access the new online electronic payment portal.  The portal will allow for both credit card and electronic check processing for any/all Agency related filings, as well as for payment of invoices.
